Participant Feedback

“We feel so very grateful for your guidance and knowledge the course has given us. It helped us in so many ways during [our daughter’s] visit. Words seem so inadequate here to let you know how much the course has helped and how grateful we are.” — Course Alumnus

‘My husband and I feel tremendous gratitude and appreciation for the work you do with family members (the forgotten loved ones suffering greatly through a loved one's addiction). It is so overlooked and so needed if families are going to indeed heal.t was LIFE CHANGING. The content was right on point. And more than that you have such a gifted way of taking really hard information to process/understand and make it clear and easy to understand. I enjoyed your stories to help get the point across. Also, it cannot be said enough, that you KNOW YOUR STUFF. YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND PRESENTATION WAS PHENOMENAL. And, I liked your relaxed delivery. It never felt like a classroom. It felt like help. There was validation and encouragement.” –– S.O.

“First, I want you to know how vital and important this course has been for me. I'm not really sure how I feel about it ending! No, I do know. Parts of me are concerned about it ending. You and the group have meant so much and the support is so clear. Thank you.” -I.H.

“I speak for my whole family in thanking you for the gift that was your course. A year after taking your course, I still find myself relying on the skills I learned when interacting with my [addicted loved one] when I'm uncertain how to respond. The content of your course was such a guidepost that I actually printed out a page from your workbook and taped it to my fridge as a reminder when I'm feeling lost in what to do. I have found that the skills I learned go way beyond how to interact with my ALO, and touch on good communication skills for all my relationships, including how to recognize, and respect my own wishes. Thank you for this empowerment." –– E.H. (virtual attendee from Louisiana)

“My husband and I cannot thank Karen enough for all she has taught us. The 10 week course on Empowering Families Who Face Addiction was just that, empowering! If you have a loved one facing this horrific disease arm yourself with Karen's course!” –– L.M.
